ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE ASSOCIATION
We strive to establish an association with other major producers, marketers, vendors and consumers in the industry to:
- Educate and inform government entities and the public concerning the role and use of electronic cigarettes;
- Create industry standards and practices to support reputable companies, create public awareness, and obviate government regulatory measures;
- Build appropriate marketing awareness that properly positions electronic cigarettes;
- Implement a systematic public affairs function to monitor media relevant to the industry and to respond in kind;
- Develop a government relations agenda to proactively advance the interests of the industry; and,
- Provide a clearinghouse of resources and materials to association members.
CONGRESSIONAL OUTREACH
Using the industry association and resources of reputable industry members, implement systematic outreach to Congress to educate, inform, and build an alliance.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
Meet incoming leaders of the Department of Health and Human Services to educate and inform concerning ECA products and market space, using the opportunity to answer questions and allay concerns that might be raised in the public debate driven by congressional action and market growth.
